Take yourself back to 1950s America and experience the atmosphere of a classic drive-in somewhere in the United States. This theme suite makes it possible. 

Round bed, chessboard-like base in black and white, characteristic wall decor, neon panels and red-and-white striped dinner furniture in the style of the time offer authentic retro flair. 

The spectacular centrepiece of the hotel suite is a bright red pick up with a built-in mini pool on the loading area, from which you have visual contact - as in the real drive-in - with a large screen opposite. 

Instead of a rendezvous at the kidney table, the 75 square metre retro suite offers an adventurous journey back to the America of the 50s. Whether having a cocktail in the driver's cabin or taking a bath in the built-in bubble bath on the pick-up platform, the atmosphere of the wild Rockin' Fifties is always present. 

The original Chevrolet as an eye-catcher, drive-in cinema and American Diner are just as much a part of the American decade's attitude to life. The sight of the cult truck, which was especially appreciated by farmers, shines not only with men's eyes. Vintage romanticism and nostalgia are combined here with modern media and lighting technology to create an exclusive experience.

The accommodation is soundproofed so that guests do not only get into full swing in the Chevy, so that neither noise can penetrate outside nor disturbances from outside are to be feared. 

The suite also offers a flat screen TV with large screen, room safe and air conditioning, as well as free care products, hair dryer and towels in your own bathroom. Additional comfort is provided by free WLAN, room service and a free mini-bar.

The four-star hotel is only a 10-minute drive from downtown Turin. The airport of Turin can be reached by car within 15 minutes.

Where grain used to be stored, a Swiss adventure farm in the canton of Schaffhausen offers unusual overnight accommodation with a special attraction.

Two converted silos on a meadow above Lake Constance can each accommodate two people. The cosy sleeping places on a retracted wooden gallery in the upper area of the 4.50-metre-high attic are accessible via a ladder staircase. In dry weather, the skylight remains open for a romantic night outdoors. 

The round shape of the former silo promises romantic togetherness. Although the windowless depot does not at first give the impression of cosy accommodation, the unexpected inner life holds an original cuddling nest for stargazers in love. On the upper floor there are two mattress dormitories directly under the folding roof. Below, a small'lounge' with a basket bench, shelf and folding table serves as a dressing room and storage room or as a cosy hiding place for a nightcap drink. 

In the evening guests have the choice between a delicious 3-course menu from the organic farm kitchen and a romantic picnic for two at the silo. The environmentally friendly sleeping silos for couples fit into the concept of the certified organic farm, which is also an ideal starting point for a tour of Schaffhausen and the Rhine Falls or a bicycle tour along Lake Constance. 

Agriculture has been organic for more than 20 years and, in addition to the direct marketing of milk and meat, has specialised in the cultivation of old vegetables such as spring cabbage, Chioggia beetroot, Palatinate and Küttiger carrots. In addition, adventure tourism was expanded as a further mainstay. Dairy farming plays a key role here. A herd of water buffalo and 25 organic pasture cattle populate the meadows around the farm. Popular activities include milking cows, carriage rides, sawing wood, rubber boat tours on the Rhine or adventure cheese in the copper kettle. 

However, cow riding has proven to be a unique top attraction and tourist magnet. Never has the term'cowboy' and'cowgirl' been more accurate than here. During cow trekking, cow and rider undertake an adventurous ride across meadows and fields (1,5 hours approx. 89,- EUR per cow) after a short introduction and the climbing of the'saddled' cow. 

Since the silos are not heatable, an overnight stay is recommended only in the warm summer months. In cool weather a sleeping bag should be brought along. Toilets and showers are available in the common area of the Biohof. The price includes breakfast, bed linen and towels for two persons. The guests expect freshly made beds on arrival.

Hidden bathrooms, cast-iron spiral staircases, a 340 kilogram cannon coffee table, a gypsy cart, an Egyptian sarcophagus, a solid stone door weighing more than half a ton, a chariot and an original 1956 Cadillac convertible are just some of the many curiosities that make the Victorian villa an imaginative synthesis of the arts.

The original owner was a creative visionary. He renovated the neighboring hotel, a former Wells Fargo stagecoach stop, and thought up the theme suites that soon attracted guests from all over the world before the Santa Ynez Valley became a famous wine-growing region.

After his death, the present owner took over the hotel in 2007, which he himself had visited many years earlier. He not only saved the gem from decay, but also brought back the old splendour through an elaborate restoration. He shares his dream of a'Disneyland for adults' with the actual builder. Two more suites are planned for the future, a tree house suite and a'Castaway' suite, for which a sailing dinghy built in 1914 for the King of Denmark will be used.

Die 'Pirate's Nest Suite' ist nur eine von insgesamt sechs ausgefallenen Themen-Suiten und befindet sich in einem historischen Herrenhaus aus dem Jahr 1864, das 1980 vom kalifornischen Nipomo an seinen heutigen Standort im Weinbaugebiet Santa Ynez versetzt wurde. Über 200 erfahrene Handwerker, Handwerker und Künstler verbrachten fast 10 Jahre damit, die ausgefallenen Hotelzimmer zu gestalten. Allein der Freskomaler benötigte mehr als zwei Jahre (bei über vierzig Stunden Arbeitszeit pro Woche), um die Wanddekorationen zu vollenden.

Verborgene Bäder, gusseiserne Wendeltreppen, ein 340 Kilogramm schwerer Kanonen-Kaffeetisch, ein Zigeunerwagen, ein ägyptischer Sarkophag, eine Massivstein-Tür von mehr als einer halben Tonne Gewicht, ein Streitwagen und ein originales Cadillac-Cabriolet aus dem Jahr 1956 sind nur einige der vielen Kuriositäten, die die viktorianische Villa zu einem fantasievollen Gesamtkunstwerk machen.

Der ursprüngliche Eigentümer, war ein kreativer Visionär. Er renovierte das benachbarte Hotel, eine ehemaliger Wells Fargo Postkutschen-Haltestelle, und erdachte die Themen-Suiten, die bald Gäste aus aller Welt anzogen, noch bevor das Santa Ynez Tal zur berühmten Weinanbauregion wurde.

Nach dessen Tod übernahm der heutige Besitzer 2007 das Hotel, das er schon viele Jahre früher immer wieder selbst als Gast besucht hatte. Er bewahrte das Kleinod nicht nur vor dem Verfall, sondern brachte durch eine aufwändige Restaurierung den alten Glanz zurück. Seinen Traum von einem 'Disneyland für Erwachsene' teilt er mit dem eigentlichen Erbauer. Geplant sind zukünftig zwei weitere Suiten, eine Baumhaus-Suite und eine 'Castaway'-Suite, für die eine 1914 für den König von Dänemark gebaute Segeljolle Verwendung findet. 

Das viktorianische Herrenhaus ist ideal im Weinanbaugebiet Santa Ynez gelegen – eine kalifornische Weinregion, die durch den Film "Sideways" internationale Bekanntheit erlangte. Durch die Lage direkt am Freeway 101, eignet sich der kleine Ort perfekt als Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg, um Hearst Castle oder San Francisco zu besuchen. 

Auch von Santa Barbara oder Los Angeles trennt das Anwesen mit seinen fantasievollen sechs Suiten nur eine kurze romantische Autofahrt.

The high recreational factor makes the accommodation an ideal retreat for dreaming, loving, reading, writing or listening to music. 

The extraordinary interiors of the 87 square metre tree suite were designed by an interior designer from Brescia and impress with their luxurious elegance and simplicity. 

The high-quality equipment surprises with unusual combinations such as Canadian cedar wood, glass and steel, contrasting colours and natural fabrics such as linen and organically grown cotton. Only selected materials of the highest quality were considered for the design. 

For the first time, ecological demands, luxury and high-tech merge into a harmonious combination in a tree house. 

The designer bed in front of an Etruscan Bucchero wall covering (black clay), which gave the suite its name, is equipped with pocket spring mattresses. As an erotic blast, an acrylic glass pane at the head end provides stimulating insights into the crystal shower behind it. 

Design elements made of black steel, mirrors and designer luminaires with LED light immediately create an unwound atmosphere. A relaxation area with upholstered couch and telescope provides special comfort. The changing room with light barrier should also be unique for a tree house.                 

The bathroom with a shower visible from the bed has its own toilet, biological care products and a hair dryer. The media equipment includes a 32-inch HD flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a Bose home cinema system, a Blu Ray player and a CD or Mp3 player. 
A refrigerator filled with champagne, sparkling wine, soft drinks and water is available for guests (for a fee). If the days or nights should turn out cooler, the tree house is heatable. For very warm summer nights, the suite also has air conditioning. 

The terrace, equipped with deckchairs, table and chairs, is suitable for sunbathing and offers a magnificent view of the surrounding lavender fields and olive groves. The daily organic breakfast with homemade pastries, lavender muffins, fresh ricotta, lavender honey, zabaglione and homemade jam delivered directly into the suite tastes so good here again. 

After breakfast, a walk along the lavender fields, which are in full bloom in June and July, is worthwhile. The summer months are of course particularly popular with guests and are therefore usually booked out well in advance. The 'Black Cabin' suite is one of two tree house accommodations that are part of the accommodation offer of an organic country farm. 

Environmentally conscious guests can not only use a spacious pool facility, but also benefit from the organic products that are produced and sold on the farm. Among them cold-pressed olive oil of the highest quality and an own cosmetic line from ecologically-biologically cultivated lavender.
